Congress on Technical Advancement 2017: Cold Regions Engineering

Abstract

  • Selected papers from the 17th International Conference on Cold Regions Engineering presented at the First Congress on Technical Advancement, held in Duluth, Minnesota, September 10–13, 2017. Sponsored by the Committee on Technical Advancement, Aerospace Engineering Division, Cold Regions Engineering Division, Committee on Adaptation to a Changing Climate, Energy Division, Infrastructure Resilience Division, Construction Institute, Utility Engineering and Surveying Institute, and the Duluth Section of ASCE.

    This collection contains 20 peer-reviewed papers on cold regions engineering.

    Topics include: material characteristics at low temperatures; ground freezing assessment; permafrost, ground ice, and sea ice; and pavement systems in cold regions.

    These papers will be of interest to practitioners and researchers working in all areas of cold regions engineering.
