Transport Canada Airfield Pavement Load Evaluation

Abstract
Particular attention is paid to the load rating system recently developed for use in the Canadian airport system. Aircraft and pavements are assigned load ratings on a common pavement strength grouping basis so that a simple comparison may be made to determine the structural adequacy of a pavement for any given aircraft loading. The control of aircraft loadings is also considered in the context of the overall pavement management system.
