Generalized Resection Method in Surveying

Abstract

Extensive surveys are usually conducted by angular observations from mutually visible points. A method is described by which unknown points can be fixed from mutually invisible stations. The necessary equations are derived and an example is worked out. The exact and graphical solutions are compared with the results obtained by the high-speed electronic computer.
