Automated Analysis of Standard Buildings

Abstract
An integrated programming system for standard buildings produced by a prefabricated metal building manufacturer is described. This programming system includes the initial design, costing, plotting of shop details, producing of packing lists, and a final analysis compatible with the building shipped. The two key features of the system are: (1) Utilization of the same set of input data for initial design, costing, and plotting of shop details; and (2) utilization of the same set of input data for the generation of packing lists and the generation of calculations, if required, for building permit.
