Abstract
Tests to failure of a nine-panel two-way slab designed on the basis of a modified limit analysis are described. The behavior of the structure at various stages of loading is described in terms of deflections, reinforcement stresses, and cracks. Moments measured at the design sections are compared with the design moments. The flexural strength of the structure is computed using the yield-line theory.
