1967 ASCE Salary Survey

Abstract
This is the ninth in a series of biennial salary surveys conducted by ASCE. The earliest ASCE salary report on record was published in December, 1914. Salary surveys were conducted at varying intervals until 1950, when it was decided to conduct them on a biennial basis. Salaries paid in five major categories of civil engineering show a 10.6% increase in the 1965-1967 ASCE survey period. Accompanying figures and tables show salaries paid in the last quarter of 1967 provide for geographical comparisons, and indicate percentage changes in the nine professional grades of the ASCE system of classification of civil engineering positions.
