Abstract
Natural frequencies and mode shapes of first 3 modes of vibration of beams are presented for 12 different tapers; tables of displacements and first and second derivatives of displacements are given as determined by digital computer for Bernoulli-Euler beams; accuracy of results examined; tables and graphs given will suffice to determine mode shapes and frequencies of all linearly tapered cantilever beams with adequate accuracy.
