Abstract
Stability coefficients were published by Bishop and Morgenstern (4) for the analysis of earth slopes. These coefficients are based, on the effective stress analysis and the simplified Bishop method (3). They can only be applied to a simple slope composed of an embankment on a horizontal ground surface with the material underground identical to that in the embankment.
