Pneumatic Sinusoidal Loading System

Abstract
This technical note reviews some of the current systems in use for the application of cyclic loads to soil specimens and then describes a novel relatively low-cost system developed at the University of California at Berkeley. The system provides a sinusoidal load trace using normal shop compressed air and is an assembly of commercially available components.
