Uplift Capacity of Group Piles in Sand

Abstract
Pile foundations are sometimes used for structures subjected to uplift forces. A number of laboratory model and large-scale field test results for the ultimate uplift capacity of single piles in granular and cohesive soils are available in literature (2,3,5,6,8,9).
