Behavior of Composite Beams in Steel Frame under Hysteretic Loading
Publication: Journal of Structural Engineering
Volume 115, Issue 8
Abstract
The behavior of a composite beam in a steel‐moment resisting frame under repeated and reversed horizontal loading is studied using a full‐scale test specimen. A hysteresis rule is developed based on a simple analytical model. The experimental behavior is compared with the analytical predictions based on this rule.
