Head-Discharge Relationship in Flumes of Compound Sections

Abstract
The subject of investigation in this experimental study is discharge estimation in flow measurement flumes of rectangular compound cross sections with different geometries. General equations for Cv and Cd have been found as a function of relevant parameters. By using these general equations, one can estimate the flow discharge of a flume when the head value over the crest elevation is given with an absolute error of 5%.
