Caltrans Takes Out the Trash

Abstract

Faced with a mandate to eliminate all trash from storm-water runoff within the Los Angeles area, the California Department of Transportation has launched an extensive program to develop, test, and finalize designs for screening devices that can be inserted seamlessly into its existing storm drain system.
