Abstract
Simplified methods for determining the mechanical properties of materials in flexible pavements and for calculating stresses, strains and deflections in elastic multilayer structures are described. Programs that enable the associated calculations to be carried out on programmable calculators are listed. These methods and programs are designed to encourage engineers without ready access to large-capacity computers to adopt structural analysis techniques for flexible pavements.
