Abstract
The trajectory of the rear wheels of a vehicle with steerable front wheels follows from the solution of a differential equation. The differential equation is presented and solved exactly for the case when the front wheels follow straight or circular paths. Numerical and approximate solutions are given for transition curves. The resulting graphs and equations can be used for determination of taxiway width, fillets, minimal turning radii, and wing tip clearances.
