Abstract
The Committee on Research of the Pipeline Division has attempted to establish the kinds of research to be accomplished during the next 10-yr in the area of pipeline engineering. This effort has included the redefinition of these research areas, along with an order-of-magnitude estimate of cost. This order-of-magnitude cost includes the manpower requirements, the facilities, and equipment needed to accomplish this research. Excluded from the scope of this report is any discussion of, or source for, obtaining of the necessary funds.
