Abstract
A continuing education opportunity that meets all these relevancy oriented requirements has recently been offered to the membership of ASCE: Effective Presentations for Civil Engineers. The course has been reviewed and approved by EMDEX—as will be future offerings. Similar Professional Reference courses in Project Management and Construction Management are now under development. This program is a valuable continuing education service to the membership, service that will provide an additional opportunity to achieve the managerial excellence required of today's and tomorrow's civil engineering manager. Following the excellent response to the Presentations course, MGI is now offering to the ASCE membership Successful Management of Civil Engineering Projects. Managerial education for the civil engineer has shifted to the future tense.
