Abstract
Mass transit concept is becoming more important in the urban planning projects. However, it cannot be studied as an entity independent of many other relevant urban problems. Mass transit, in any form, needs to serve the public in an efficient and satisfactory manner. Housing is one of the major problems which is closely related to the planning of the transportation projects. To coordinate the planning of mass transit and housing projects requires the study and definition of all relevant technical and social factors and then interrelate them properly by a systems approach. This approach is mandatory to secure the lasting success of the urban planning.
