Analysis on the Characteristics of Passenger Flow and Meteorological Influencing Factors at Zhengzhou Subway Station Based on LBS Data

ABSTRACT
Among the factors affecting the change of passenger flow at subway stations, meteorological factors are important indices. Therefore, the study of meteorological factors not only can predict behavioral characteristics of residents’ travel but also provide suggestions for improving operation efficiency of subway. This paper takes Zhengzhou Metro Line 1 as the research object; establishes the multivariable linear regression model between subway station passenger flow and temperature, air pressure, relative humidity, wind speed, precipitation, wind-chill index grade, and comprehensive comfort index grade; and analyzes the influence of each meteorological index on the passenger flow at subway stations. The results show that precipitation, temperature, and wind-chill index grade have an obvious impact on passenger flow at subway stations on weekdays and non-weekdays. The passenger flow on non-weekdays is more affected by meteorological factors and is more sensitive to the wind-chill index grade than on weekdays.
