ABSTRACT
Research of the characteristics of mixed traffic flow around bus stops with vehicle and infrastructure cooperation is important. Based on the NS model, the characteristics of the autonomous car (AC), manually car (MC) and traditional bus (TB) are introduced, and the classic safety distance rules of Gipps and operating rules of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) establish a two-lane of mixed traffic flow operation model. The influence of penetration rate of different vehicles on the capacity of road sections is analyzed and results indicate: (1) Capacity of sections around the bus bay stop is greater than that of a curbside bus stop. (2) Road capacity increases while increasing the penetration rate of AC, and the increase in the proportion of bus will slow down this growth rate. (3) AC has a greater impact on the capacity of the upstream road section than that of downstream.
