Research on the Adsorption Mechanism of Corn Stalk Fiber to Asphalt Based on Molecular Dynamics

ABSTRACT

The method of molecular dynamics simulation was used to study the adsorption mechanism of corn stalk fiber on asphalt and the factors that affect its absorption ability on asphalt in this study. By establishing molecular models of four different asphalt and corn stalk fibers, setting the molecular force field and calculation parameters, constructing a molecular dynamics model of interface, the absorption regularity of corn stalk fiber on different components of asphalt was obtained. The research results show that temperature and content of each component of asphalt are important factors that affect the absorption ability of corn stalk fiber on asphalt, and corn stalk fiber can increase the viscosity of asphalt by adsorbing light components of asphalt.
