Method for Obtaining OD Matrix of Expressway Network Based on Cellphone Data

ABSTRACT
Based on the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) data and Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) data, this paper sorts out the characteristics of these data and puts forward an estimation method of OD matrix of urban expressway network. In this paper, an estimation model of the route flow is established based on GSM data and AVI data. The model takes the minimum difference between the estimated cross-sectional flow and the actual monitored flow as the objective function, and uses the estimated route flow and the cellpath flow as constraints to accurately estimate the route flow of expressway network. Based on this, the OD matrix of the expressway network is obtained. Then a case is designed to verifies the model. This paper takes ShenZhen urban expressway sub-network as the research object, conducts case empirical research, and discusses the rationality and effectiveness of the model in a real case.
