Carpool Passengers Selected Model in the Automatic Vehicles Setting

ABSTRACT
The popularity of mobile Internet enables passengers to use ridesharing services easily. Automatic vehicle technology indicates that car will be driven by a control system of vehicles instead of the drivers themselves. However, the choice of the driver for participating passengers is currently determined by subjective judgment. Therefore, the current model of passenger selected driver does not apply to future automated vehicles. To solve this problem, this paper presents the pattern and system of ride-sharing with self-driving cars. We propose a carpool passengers selected model (CPSM) of automatic vehicles and uses the heuristic algorithm to solve it. Through simulation of an actual situation, it was found that the average travel time of passengers at CPSM was shorter than that of passengers chosen randomly with approximately equivalent passenger loads.
