Analyzing the Factors Affecting the Diffusion of Prefabricated Construction Technology

Publication: ICCREM 2021

ABSTRACT

Prefabricated construction plays a significant role in solving the problems of efficiency, safety, and environment in the current construction industry. However, the issue of technology diffusion has hindered the application and development of PC. In this way, this study adopted the technology-organization-environment (TOE) framework to identify factors that affect the diffusion of prefabricated construction, used the Decision-making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method to evaluate the critical factors, and proposed the corresponding strategies to promote the widespread application and improvement of PC in the construction industry.
