ABSTRACT
Since human factors play a vital role in traffic accidents, the perception bias in aggressive driving behaviors should be paid more attention. Ten drivers were recruited from DIDI to participate in the study. A naturalistic driving study was performed to obtain driving performance parameters. Drivers self-evaluated their driving behaviors by questionnaires. According to the result of principal component analysis that acceleration had a strong correlation with aggressive driving behaviors, a k-mean cluster method was adopted to classify participants into three groups of high-, moderate-, and low-aggressive drivers objectively. Based on the comparison between subjective self-reported evaluation and objective clustering results, the influencing factors of the perception bias in aggressive driving behaviors had been explored. The results indicated that personality, age, driving age, work, and road environment had an impact on the perception bias. The research finding can be used to improve traffic safety by increasing drivers’ awareness of aggressive driving behaviors.
