ABSTRACT
A host of basic road networks, although having the same basic shape, are overwhelmingly different for the travel users. With the wide application of big data, we use the structure of the basic road network and the number of road lanes, traffic flow, accidents, driving behavior (rapid acceleration, sharp turn, and sudden braking), and congestion level identify and analyze the feasible planning points of the urban basic road network, and summarize the characteristics of various hazardous road sections and corresponding risk levels. This paper fills in the gaps in the research of hazardous intersections identified by big data in terms of dangerous driving and has a breakthrough conclusion in identifying hazardous intersections in basic road networks. Finally, a targeted improvement method for these dangerous intersections is proposed to improve intersections safety.
