Analysis on Commuting Modal Shift of Members Based on Urban Relocated Households
Publication: CICTP 2020
ABSTRACT
The research on relocation-travel behavior mainly focuses on the commute mode of individuals, ignoring the analysis of the transition of members from the perspective of households. This paper takes the relocated families as the research object, analyzes the commuting characteristics of the moving household members, and the model is used to analyze the mechanism that influences the choice of travel mode. The paper finds that there are differences in commuting modes among residents of different relocated families. When the two members Jobs-Housing close after the relocation, both male and female members change travel modes. However, the probability of the car mode of both members remains more than 50%. Under the influence of long distances, the probability of a female parent’s bus travel mode changing to a car mode before the relocation is twice that of a male parent.
