ABSTRACT
The intersection is an important part of the urban road system. It is also the bottleneck of road systems and the area with frequent traffic accidents, where there are many security risks. In this paper, fault tree analysis (FTA) and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) are used to evaluate the risk of intersection comprehensively. Analyze the risk qualitatively with FTA, and the fault tree of intersection risk is constructed. The structural importance of basic events in the fault tree is taken as the index weight in the AHP, and the judgment matrix is constructed based on this. The risk assessment results obtained by this method are basically consistent with the actual situation, which shows that the method can objectively reflect the influence of each risk indicator to intersection security. Therefore, it has a positive effect on reducing the risk of intersection, and can provide quantitative basis for the risk assessment.
