ABSTRACT
In order to alleviate the problem of urban traffic development, domestic and foreign planners actively adopt the strategy of “priority public transport,” which cannot only reduce the exhaust pollution caused by cars, but also alleviate the urban congestion to a certain extent. As one of the most important factors to reflect the reliability of bus operation service, it is important to study the influence of bus headway dispersion. Taking the discrete characteristics of bus headway as the research object, this paper uses AVL data to analyze the influencing factors and establish regression model to test the influence of each factor on the discrete characteristics of bus headway. According to the results, corresponding measures are taken to reduce the discrete degree of bus headway and improve the reliability of bus operation service.
