Public Transit Station Ranking in Bus-Metro Integrated Network
Publication: CICTP 2020
ABSTRACT
Bus and metro complement each other in the urban transportation system. Conventional views consider these components separately. To better study the public transit networks (PTNs), bus stops and metro stations are integrated into one complex network without loss of generality in this paper. By fully considering the influences of neighbor nodes bring on the nodes, degree, and PageRank are chosen as indicators to assess the nodes importance (NI) of the network. To prove this model, a case study of Beijing public transit is conducted. The application results are shown in ArcMap. With this method, the renovation of real world network can be visualized clearly, allowing for easier evaluation of the importance of the stations.
