A Framework of Smart Railway Passenger Station Based on Digital Twin

ABSTRACT
Smart railway is one of the most important trends in the next decades. However, it is still unclear how to adopt the update advanced technologies to improve the efficiency and level of service of railway system especially in railway passenger station. In this study, a framework of smart railway passenger station based on digital twin is proposed. First, the main needs of potential applications for smart passenger station based on field survey is analyzed. Second, the architecture of smart railway station based on digital twin is proposed. Third, the main datasets, models, and applications for future smart passenger station are presented. Finally, a pilot study of the framework by a real case study in China is showed. The proposed framework can provide a sample for the application of digital twin technology in smart railway passenger station and a reference for the development of smart railway.
