ABSTRACT
With the increase of passenger traffic volume at the airport, the problem of congestion at the departure curbside of airport landside is becoming more and more serious. It is increasingly important to plan and design the departure curbside in airport landside. Based on the investigation and analysis of traffic characteristics and pedestrian flow characteristics of Changsha Huanghua Airport and Xi’an Xianyang Airport, the demand model parameters of the departure curbside parking of lane are determined. Combined with the passenger’s travel process at the departure curbside of airport landside, the traffic demand model based on the departure curbside of airport landside is proposed. At the same time, the validity of the model is demonstrated by a survey example, which provides a basis for the planning and design of the departure curbside of airport landside.
