ABSTRACT
To calculate the impact coefficient of the most disadvantageous part of a highway suspension bridge more accurately, a computational method based on vehicle-bridge coupling vibration is proposed. First, the standard fatigue vehicle and the multi-scale bridge model with evenness are established, and the general equation of vehicle-bridge coupling vibration is derived. Secondly, the corresponding computational program of vehicle-bridge coupling vibration is designed. Then, the computational method of the impact coefficient of the bridge is introduced and obtained. Finally, the computational method of finding the impact coefficient based on vehicle-bridge coupling vibration is verified through corresponding experiments. They are consistent with each other, and the computational method is reliable and can be used for dynamic analysis of highway suspension bridges. Based on the verification method, several main factors affecting the impact coefficient, such as vehicle speed, vehicle weight, and bridge surface evenness, are analyzed and some suggestions for reducing the impact effect are put forward.
