Design and Construction Optimization of the Joint in the Mixed Steel-Concrete Arch Bridge
Publication: CICTP 2020
ABSTRACT
The steel-concrete joint one of the most important structural joints, connecting the steel box and concrete rib. The rationality of its design directly affects the structural safety and service performance of mixed steel-concrete arch bridges. This paper compares the existing steel-concrete joints and a new type of all-lattice three-way prestressed steel-concrete joint. Furthermore, this paper analyzed the three-direction prestressed configuration measures of steel-concrete joints and the anchorage connection structure of lattice steel arch rib transition section with finite element simulation. We suggest a reasonable construction scheme and optimized construction process of steel-concrete joint. The construction can be optimized by tensioning the prestressed tendons vertically and horizontally at first, and then tensioning the prestressed tendons diagonally.
