Matching Design of Tram Flexible Block Structure and Material

ABSTRACT
At present, most of the tram flexible blocks in China are made up of recycled rubber particles added with glue. The structure of flexible blocks has a large number of cavities and as a result the blocks are not strong enough to support the asphalt at intersections. So, the asphalt and the rail top sealant, at intersections, are crushed by social vehicles. In order to improve the strength of flexible blocks, this paper rationally designs the cavity shape and adjusts the position of the cavity, while using the mixing technology to increase the strength of recycled rubber, while considering the manufacturing feasibility. Finally, a specimen of flexible block with strong pressure bearing capacity is designed.
