ABSTRACT
The vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) has a high-speed mobile distributed dynamic network topology, making the trust management of dynamic nodes more important. There are many problems to be solved for the existing in-vehicle network. In VANET, a new routing trust model is proposed to solve the problem of trust degree and routing optimization of the newly added vehicle nodes. The new routing trust model provides two schemes to set and calculate the trust value for the newly added vehicle nodes. When determining the next-hop node, the decision is made by combining the type of message, the trust value and the confidence of trust value. The simulation results show that the trust model for safe routing is more accurate in the calculation of trust value, and the proportion of malicious nodes excluded is higher, so that the routing protocol with the trust model performs better than the original protocol.
