Spatial Characteristics of Guangzhou Based on Road Network Comprehensive Accessibility
Publication: CICTP 2019
Abstract
With the road network data of 11 districts of Guangzhou as the data base, this paper uses GIS and SPSS to establish the comprehensive accessibility model of Guangzhou based on the gravity model, the kernel density model, and the minimum distance model. Then it analyzes the spatial characteristics of the comprehensive accessibility in the central and peripheral areas. The results show that the comprehensive accessibility of Guangzhou presents multi-center distribution. The road network in the central area is at a higher development level and the accessibility centers are located in the Yuexiu District and the Tianhe District. Moreover, the correlation between the socio-economic factors and the accessibility in the central area is not noticeable. However, accessibility in the peripheral area is weaker and the location of the district government is in the accessibility center. In these peripheral districts, the spatial correlation between socio-economy and accessibility is firm.
