Abstract
The traffic guide sign plays an important role in the traffic sign system. In order to improve drivers’ visual cognition of regional signs at intersections of highways and urban roads, this paper designs three kinds of traffic signs and compares them with the existing signs. Based on the change of driving behavior in the driving simulation experiment and the results of the questionnaire survey after driving, this paper adopts the grey approximate optimal model to comprehensively evaluate the designed three kinds of signs and the existing signs. Combining 15 subjective and objective indicators, scheme 2 has the highest evaluation score. Thus, the driver tends to have the information of road name and intersection road direction and the path guidance sign of proximal information and remote information. The paper provides a certain basis for the traffic guide sign setting in the connecting area of highways and urban road.
