Abstract
The emergence of the online car-hailing service has changed the traditional taxi market pattern and the habit of taking a taxi by the road. Online car-hailing and taxis are complementary ways of urban public transportation, which mainly operate in the center of the city with high traffic flow. In this study, using the data of Chengdu Didi online car-hailing, the temporal and spatial characteristics were analyzed. We use the latitude and longitude of the OD points to calculate the average speed. In addition, we analyze the congestion area on working days and weekends. The results suggest that there are some differences in the distribution of working days and weekends, and this method can be used to estimate the speed of the vehicle. The average travel speed of the road network is highly related to the temporal distribution characteristics.
