Abstract
Passengers with baggage frequently cause conflicts with other pedestrians in the passageway because they lack sufficient control measures. This paper analyzes the passenger flow status under different ratios of passengers with baggage by numerical simulation and further studies the influence factors and characteristic parameters related to the pedestrian flow conflict in the passageway. Based on the conflict pedestrian flow theory, the behavior characteristics of passengers with baggage can be obtained and the passenger flow statuses are quantified. Based on the impact degree of conflicts caused by passengers with baggage on the overall pedestrian flow, a quantitative model is established to divide the conflict into five grades according to the average density of passenger flow, average journey time, average speed, and passage width. The research findings can provide a theoretical basis for accurately providing management and control measures to reduce conflicts of passenger flow with baggage in different proportions.
