The Management and Utilization of Land Resources in Urban and Rural Areas: A Case Study of the Guangzhou Bai-Yun District

ABSTRACT

The statistical analysis of present land-using structure of the urban and rural area is beneficial to use and management of the urban land resources. Based on the statistics of land-using in Guangzhou Bai-Yun District for nearly five years, this research analyzes the correlation degree between the indicators of urban construction land and the total land size with the evaluation method of the grey correlative degree. Conclusion shows that focusing on the control of residential land and adjusting transport facilities, land and green land reasonably can achieve general balance of the land resources and avoid the idleness of land resources. And then, put forward the proposal for controlling the pace and intensity of land-using in the key areas.
