Methods to Promote Affordable Green Building in Long-Term Freezing Areas

ABSTRACT

There are lots of low-income people living in affordable buildings in China. And, their cost of heating is too high compared to the rent. This article analyzed the traditional operation mechanism, the developments situation and the existing problems of affordable green construction from the aspects of policies, interest conflicts, and market situation. It also revealed the problem of green construction for high cost, conflicts of interest distribution between the building occupants and construction unit to implement green building under the current mode of real estate investments. The author analyzing related data and proposed new methods based on the interest re-share, in order to promote the process of green building construction and ease the government’s financial pressure in long-term freezing areas.
