Abstract
The engineering, geological, and hydrogeological conditions of a tunnel project, which lies in a karst area, are extremely complex for kasrt and kasrt water bursting disasters. Using formation lithology, geological structure, terrain and ground feature, surface drainage, underground drainage, elevation of tunnel design, and other considereations as the main judgment factors, along with a comprehensive index method basied on hierarchical analysis for tunnel risk assessment of karst water geological disasters, and applying this to engineering practice, it is helpful to improve the prevention and management of karst water bursting disasters.
