Experimental Research for Dynamic Performance of Seals of the Hydraulic Steel Sluice Gate
Publication: Application of Nanotechnology in Pavements, Geological Disasters, and Foundation Settlement Control Technology
Abstract
The main objective of this paper was to study the dynamic performance of seals of the hydraulic steel sluice gate by experiments. Some modifications which involved of top, side, bottom, and rotation hinge of the water seal were done to seek and testify the reasonable shape and facilities. Then, the water sealing experiments with different conditions were performed. It is indicated that the preset compressive deformation of various water seals is changed along with the different water head. Moreover, the transformation law of the preset compressive deformation of different sealing parts under the reservoir water head was discovered.
