Glossary
Publication: Guidelines for Cloud Seeding to Augment Precipitation
Abstract
This chapter presents a glossary of terms relevant to the discussion of cloud seeding technologies. Some of these terms include accretion, advection, cloud model, collision and coalescence, dynamic seeding, and glaciogenic seeding. The book discusses guidelines of cloud seeding technology, which facilitates some components of the water cycle. These guidelines are important in dealing with many current and potential future scientific, environmental, and socioeconomic issues. Cloud seeding to enhance precipitation efficiency within a cloud has measurable benefits.
