The Partnering Model and Construction Management

Publication: ICCREM 2013: Construction and Operation in the Context of Sustainability

Abstract

This paper elaborates on the background and the core ideas of the Partnering model. A questionnaire and some interviews were carried out for gaining the conditions of actual relationships between the general contractors and other parties. It investigates the problems during the work progress management and analyses the foundation to implement the Partnering model in China, which includes the advantage of the Chinese culture, the long-term and stable cooperative relations, etc. In order to carry out the Partnering model, this paper raises the corresponding measures and the suggestions.
