Abstract
Remote monitoring of tanker oil is important for the safe transportation of the tanker in Inland River. A remote monitoring system based on Automatic Identification System (AIS) is designed in this paper. Oil level, temperature, pressure and some other information which could affect safe transportation of the tanker can be collected by this system, and then transmitted to the management department by the use of AIS. The real-time monitoring alarm and remote supervision of the tanker cargo status can be realized in the system, and the safety of oil tanker transportation is guaranteed.
