Abstract
With the development of broadband wireless technology, it is bound to form a situation of multiple wireless networks coexisting in the future. The internet of inland ships is a newly emerged concept. It is designed to connect ship-borne terminals with wireless networks. This paper describes heterogeneous network of vertical handoff technology on the basis of the characteristics of the ship-borne terminals. A multiple indicator judgment selection algorithm is outlined; it is able to make accurate handoff decision under many circumstances. In order to reduce the PingPang handoff, we design a method that combines the averaging processing and handoff price parameters. The weight parameters can change with different software applications that combine both active and passive handoffs.
