Abstract
The oil film extension model is regarded as one of the primary methods to calculate the track and fate of continuity of oil spill, which is accurate to calculate the oil spill trajectory. However, it is still inadequate for the form of the analog reliability of oil film (OF) diffusion range and OF shape. One of the reasons is that this method only considers the OF leading-edge extension, but ignores the expansion of the oil film's flanks. Based on the theory of Fay, the Whole Oil Film Elliptic Extension Model (WOLEEM) is established to reflect the whole oil film (WOF) overall expansion. The WPF is divided into four sections of elliptic arc, the length change of major and minor axis of which describe the expansion of OF. Then, using a three-link model of Fay, obtains the track of film leading-edge extension that can drive the expansion of back film flanks. Finally, based on the elliptical extension theory of Lehr to make sure the wind would affect the film shape by changing the size of major and minor axis of elliptic arc. The conclusion is WOLEEMrealizes the extension movement of oil film flanks by creatively relating flanks boundary to leading -edge extension.
