Determining the Width of Bend Channel for Very Large Vessels Based on Simulation Trials

Publication: ICTIS 2013: Improving Multimodal Transportation Systems-Information, Safety, and Integration

Abstract

This paper presents a method of the width bend channel for the very large vessels based on the ship-handling simulation trials. Analyze the relationship between the effects of conditions including wind wave and flow and the maneuverability of very large vessels. It would be available to the operators who design, make out, and maintenance the ports.
